Roofing Completed at Chileshe Mukulu Basic School!
All this was done through a combined effort of Rural Action volunteers in Kasama Zambia, community volunteers in Chileshe Mukulu, supervision from the Ministry of Education and your donations.
The greatest information of all: the 280 students (147 boys and 133 girls) of Chileshe Mukulu Basic School were able to study during the just ending rainy season without worrying about a leaking roof.
A community population survey was carried out by the community and Rural Action volunteers. Further work has been done on the school and training has been carried out with women in the community. Stay tuned for more information and photos.
As you can see from the photos there is more work to be done on the school and the target is $12,000.
A 2.5 year cycle of Entrepreneurship and Business Development training and support for the 80 women of Mushili and Tukamona Women's Association will cost over $6,000.
We still need your help!
